L: Lord of the Rings

such an amazing movie...lots of adventure and cute boys...

i'm not much of a fantasy/action person unless i go with someone....this isn't a type of movie i'd just go see on my own but some friends are fanatics and so we watched and i thoroughly enjoyed it...

 T: transformers 2

this movie SUCKED!! i heard it was bad but sometimes i still like movies even though they were panned by everyone else...

but this was just nonstop 2 1/2 hours of action and blowing things up...

it was like too much of a good thing...

awful....

and i enjoyed the first one too but oh well...

i think the 3rd one is coming out next year...hopefully a little better but no doubt will make bajillions...

 

P: purple violets

this movie was soo good!! it made me sad it didn't do better in the theaters...basically its about giving love a second chance, specifically that first love...it's 10 years laters and these people see each other again and so much has changed...

really sweet movie...

one of my new faves...

i remember when this movie came out i really wanted to see it but then i heard it got really bad reviews...

which sort of suprised me just cuz it looked so good...

plus the formula of baz lurhman, nicole kidman, and hugh jackson- what could go wrong?

i thorougly enjoyed the movie...

however it was loooong.....

it did feel like 2 movies in 1...

overall, a beautiful sweeping love story...i didn't realize the history of australia until i saw this movie but like most of history, it was at times heartbreaking and sad...

the little boy who plays nullah was AMAZING! that kid has serious talent...

and nikki kidman and hugh....

amazing...

all in all, i really enjoyed it....

28. Buy a Dress

i did it!! i went to target to get a halloween costume and found this little gem! i just ate a really big dinner or i'd put it on and take a picture cuz now that i look at it, its not as appealing from the hanger...

but it's really cute on! i have a really hard time looking for dresses so i was actually surprised by how fast it took me to actually find one...

i thought it'd be one of those things i'd do much later on my list...

80. go apple picking

today i went apple picking...

unfortunately thats not my picture...i forgot my camera today but it was fun! The weather in ny today is gorge and the scenic route we took was breathtaking...

if i end up leaving ny, i think i'm going to miss that part the most...

anyhow, i went with my landlady and 5 kids...a couple of them were whiny but all in all i had fun...

it was really hard though! i had never done anything like this in my life...honestly, this is going to sound so bad but the closest thing to apple picking that i've done is going to the grocery store and picking through the selection...

i haven't tried the apples yet but they look delicious!

24. Pay off AMEX card

woop woop!! paid off baby!! I had $2000 and it's GONE!!

in a few days i'm going to close the account so that i won't be tempted to spend...

honestly, i love to shop and eat...

and i eat good let me tell you but it costs money...money that i didn't have...

i was definitely living beyond my means and now i'm just trying to cut back and live and spend what i can afford...

honestly, since i've come to NY it's really helped curb my spending...it's like whoah, i can't do that because i don't have money...

hopefully i can get my last two cards paid off by next year!!

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day: this movie was alright...kinda slow at parts...amy adam's character kinda sorta bugged me...basically it was about a governess played by frances mcdormand who becomes the "social secretary" for an american actresss (amy adams)...i think its one of those movies where 10 years from now i'll be like, oh yeah...i saw that...

Wall-E

my brother loves this movie...i actually gave it to him for christmas...i had never seen it and went over to a friends house and saw it...it's really cute...

not my favorite pixar movie but its very good...

you totally fall for wall-e and can't help but sigh every time he's like,"eve..."

kinda reminded of that robot in "short circuit"...but miniature...

6. Run a 5k

I did it! sorry for the sweat stain...thats really gross...

this was actually my 3rd 5k in my life...

and it was so difficult...

first of all, i'm not used to NY weather!! in sunny southern california, if i saw sun outside my window i could get away with  jeans and a tshirt or shorts and a sweater...

since i was running, i thought i could get away with shorts and a tshirt...

uh, no...

it was FREEZING!!

i wish i had on warmer clothes...

as i was running, i found it difficult to breathe...

i would run for a minute and then have to stop because it hurt so much...

it literally felt like 10 lbs of bricks lodged in my chest...

and i got so frustrated at not being able to run and then people were walking faster than me...

there were people in wheelchairs going faster than me...

i got so mad at myself, at them...

i wasn't having fun...

the first time i did a 5k i had such a great time...

i finally understood why people do it...

i could see how addicting it could be...

i'm not striving to be the best runner or be #1...

i'm doing this for me, for my health, for my enjoyment...

but i just couldn't find the joy in it like i had before in the past...

i started wondering if this race was an analogy for my life...

i'm frustrated in my life about the exam and angry and jealous at all my friends who not only passed but are working...

i have a friend who not only got a kick ass job, good pay, benefits, they pay her dues, AND paying tuition...

i have yet to pass and when all is said in done i'll be at least $40,000 to $60,000 in debt...

or maybe i'm just a sucky runner....
